What Is a Packaging Dieline?
The dieline connects a flat artwork file to the finished structure.
Understand the layers
Cut lines define the edge; fold lines show where the structure bends. Bleed extends print past trim edges, while safe areas keep important content away from cuts and folds.
Use the approved structure
Do not scale a downloaded template to fit a different product. Changes to board and size affect tabs, folds and assembly. Request a dieline for the agreed specification.
Prepare your artwork
Keep structural lines separate from printed artwork. Outline or embed fonts and include linked images. Ask for the required bleed, color setup and PDF settings.
