The packaging notebook
How Much Does Custom Packaging Cost?
There is no useful single price for a box without a specification.
What changes the price
Dimensions, board, quantity, artwork coverage, tooling, inserts and finishing affect the quote. Freight and sample costs should be identified separately.
Compare like with like
Ask each supplier to quote the same internal dimensions, paper specification, print and finish. Confirm whether setup, packing and delivery are included.
Keep your first brief simple
A product reference, approximate quantity, dimensions and destination are enough to start a conversation. Add a target delivery date if it matters.
